INTRODUCTION ABOUT BILYPSA 4MG TABLET

Bilypsa Tablet is used for the management of diabetic dyslipidaemia and hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides) with type 2 diabetes mellitus which is not controlled by statin therapy. It contains Saroglitazar which belongs to the group of medicines called Glitazar. Your doctor may ask you to undergo certain diagnostic tests before starting the management with this medicine.

Along with Bilypsa Tablet, your doctor might ask you to make certain lifestyle changes such as eating healthy, adequate sleep, weight and stress management, quitting smoking and alcohol. Bilypsa Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver, kidney or heart disease (with episodic congestive heart failure) and history of muscle diseases. Bilypsa Tablet should be used with caution in pregnant women and it is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women.

Safety and effectiveness of this medicine has not been established in children, hence consult your doctor’s advice before taking the medicine. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects are gastritis, weakness and fever. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects do not improve.

HOW BILYPSA 4MG TABLET WORKS

Bilypsa Tablet influences glucose metabolism as well as fat metabolism. It acts on certain receptors and helps in lowering high blood triglycerides as well as the glucose levels in the blood and improves insulin resistance. It acts on the liver and increases the degradation of lipids (fats) and decreases their formation as well hence, resulting in reduced triglycerides.


DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  • Take Bilypsa Tablet as advised by your doctor
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
  • Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, condition, and body weight.
